When I was a young boy, I would see these guys out on the park fields with their elaborate flying helicopters they had built by hand (and probably spent hundreds on). I was amazed and amused for hours on end watching them do tricks and just fly it around. I wanted one so badly! In my teens my parents finally purchased an expense RC helicopter for me that I busted up and broke within a week! Needless to say I had been itching to get my hands on a new one. I purchased on of the mini yiboo helicopters for my son and I to try out and I in love with this awesome piece of machinery. It is ok for a grown man to love a toy, right?
These yiboo helicopters are super study (yes, we have crashed ours many, many, many, times- even on concrete and its been fine.) and built very well. They take a little bit of time to get accustomed to and some practice, but that is half the fun of it. It took my 7 year old about 3 days to get it up into the air without smashing it into wall, but he is having tons of fun with it. This is fantastic binding time for us as well and perhaps I like the time spent with him more than the toy itself. Regardless, a lawn chair, a cold drink, and my kiddo and I on a warm spring day flying our helicopters… I am in heaven.
