Take off in style with Barbie in this thrilling stylish Barbie Airplane! If your child is Barbie obsessed (like mine is) then at some point she will most likely beg you and beg for this elaborate Barbie plane until your arm falls off. Ok, slight exaggeration, but my little 6 year old daughter really knows how to repeatedly ask for things over and over… and over! Luckily for her, we decided to splurge this year and get her this cool little plan and she could not have been more excited.
Any little child will be thrilled with this luxury blue jet that comes with a pilot Barbie and 40 other very realistic pieces including reclining, sliding seats (with belts and headphones), luggage, real microphone takeoff noises, tons of accessories and even some snack goodies to make any trip worth it’s while. There is a coffee pot, mugs, glasses, pitcher, ice tongs and ice cubes *that are exceptionally small mind you, cans of Coke and silverware. These items make the imaginary play all that more fun, but with so many small pieces they are easy to lose.
Lots of really neat storage spots that house all the cool accessories including a magazine rack, movable drink trolley for storing drinks, food, silverware, food trays and more. The back of the plane has a coffee and juice dispenser that “pours” a pretend stream of drinks into cups or mugs. The plane offers plenty of room for Barbie and 2 friends with luggage, and comes with close to as many details as a real plane. Nothing was spared in the making of this plane and its obvious in the quality and amenities this toy has.
The creative play possibilities are truly endless, and my daughter and her friends (ages 5-9 years of age) just adore playing stewardess and traveling to imaginary locations on and off the plane. They even made a music video for the on-board entertainment. The cockpit is loaded with buttons, pulleys and levers and all the accessories make any trip a creative adventure waiting in the wings (literally) for all kids that love Barbie and other such dolls.
Some parents have expressed concerns with the wings staying in place but we haven’t had any issues as of yet. The seat belts are a little sticky but not a huge bother. My biggest grip is the tiny pieces that seem to continuously get lost (or vacuumed up) so we got a special box (its like a craft box with small compartments) for all of Barbies accessories. Unfortunately we have lot several of the tiny ice cubes, the tongs, and a few other pieces and I have been able to replace them but it hasn’t stopped her from playing with it one bit. One mother discovered that the ice tongs or a piece of tape are especially handy in retrieving the ices stuck in the run way grooves (it was a good tip).
