Thanks so much for taking the time to get to know us! We are a couple of moms and dads that have several things in common… and one big one… we all love toys (as do our kids!). We decided to start this site to talk about some of the toys we all have fun with and enjoy (or not).
Toys are actually great for development, dexterity, imaginary play and so much more, yet we seem to view toys as just that… toys and not a way to help our kids grow. Truth be told toys are a really important part of how kids grow and the more active parents can be in “playing” with their kids and teaching them how to successfully use certain toys, the more kids grow and learn in a positive manner. (How do we know this? We are not just parents but child development educators and therapist… see our bios), and we thought that giving parents a better way to get real reviews on kids toys and find creative ways to use these toys to help teach our kids about life would be fun, hence the blog. We felt this was an ideal way to share our experiences both positive and negative and be a part of a great and caring community.
We try to keep on top of the latest toy trends and track which toys are the most popular, most useful, most educational, and newest. From our reviews, you can read about whether the toys are really worth the price, what their benefit might be and whether they’d be a good fit for your child.
We are not affiliated with any toy brands or manufacturers, so all the reviews are based on honest information and research. We do, however, receive a small commission from Amazon for any toys you may buy through our links – but you are under no obligation to do so.
We also try to post deals and specials going on to help you save money.
When reviewing toys we use a number of factors, mostly from other parents reviews and of course through our own experiences. You will find both positive and negative reviews on this website because by including the pros and cons you can weigh up the choice of buying something your child might desperately want, against other important factors that make the toy popular.
